The anthropocene as seen through historical insect DNA


 

In this project I mainly use museomics approaches to sequence old museum samples of drosophilid flies to study: i) the effects of anthropocene in the last couple of centuries on the genome of Drosophila melanogaster samples stored in museums; and ii) the phylogenomics of drosophilidae family focusing on rare and under-represented lineages.
