Curriculum Vitae

I am Hamid, originally from Iran. I did all my under-graduate studies in Spain before moving to Sweden where I obtained my PhD degree at Lund University. During my studies I worked with different organisms such as fishes, dogs, crabs, humans, and insects to name a few examples. My focus has always been the evolutionary history of different groups mainly using genetic data. I have used both population genetics and phylogenetic approaches to deal with these questions. During my PhD I focused on the diversification processes shaping their actual diversity using genomic data. At present I am a nGICE postdoctoral researcher at Lund University, working under the supervision of Dr. Marcus Stensmyr (LU), Dr. Christer Löfstedt (LU), Dr. Jadranka Rota (LU), Dr. Niklas Wahlberg (LU), Dr. Bill S. Hansson (MPI-CE) focusing on:
